Each tree is approximate 6 - 8" tall with an additional 3" soil plug and comes with detailed planting instructions. Undecorated Tree Seedlings. Please ship the trees to an address where someone will be available to sign for them. They will NOT be left at a door. Trees will arrive the week of the event date (typically the beginning of the week) to ensure your guests have as much time as possible to plant them. If the trees are given out at a winter event, they should be planted in small pots until outdoor conditions are suitable for planting.
Guests will have the opportunity to plant a reminder of your vows and watch it grow as your celebrate anniversary after anniversary together.
White Spruce - This tree is found almost everywhere in Canada and can grow in a variety of climates and soils. The White Spruce will grow to a height of 80 ft. and a trunk diameter of 2ft. Grown in a variety of soils and climates and on average will grow to a mature height of 80 ft. and a trunk diameter of 2 ft. In large open areas the lower branches can span 20 ft.
Blue Spruce - The Blue Spruce is similar to the White Spruce but often has beautiful bluish sometimes silvery needles. These needles are very sharp and very stiff that point almost 90 degrees to the branch.
Red Pine - Again, this tree is very similar to the White Pine. This tree will have a reddish-brown bark and chestnut brown pine cones when fully mature.
White Pine - This is the official tree of Ontario and is the tallest conifer tree in Eastern Canada. It can reach heights of 100 ft. and trunk diameters of 3ft. It can grow in a variety of soils but does best is moist sandy or clay/sandy soils.
